TIME TRAVEL TRIVIA
Time Travel Trivia is a board game I designed for my second year graded unit. The aim of our brief was to create a brand new board game that would appeal to 18-30 year olds. After doing some target market research I discovered that my audience likes trivia games. I decided that Time Travel Trivia would be a fun and nostalgic concept.
See above the box lid and base nets. this includes 3D mockups of the game and small illustrations. On the side of the box is images of the tiles with the tagline "5 Decades of Fun". The logo is very 1980's style with a handwritten font from the time.
When thinking of a style I looked at trends of the 1960's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's.
I decided that I really liked the graphic design style of the 1980's with the bold, contrasting gradients and use of lines. 80's trends are currently back in fashion, this means that my design will still look fun and fresh.
On the left you can see a copy of the instructions from the game. The instructions are simple and easy to comprehend. I have included images, colour and fun fonts to keep the player engaged.
Above you can see a mockup of the entire game including the box, board, instructions, question cards and decade tiles. The result is bright and extremely engaging.
